Dambuster Studio has enhanced Dead Island 2 with a New Game Plus (NG+) mode, designed to offer players a new level of challenge and excitement. According to Tim Donks, a Senior Designer at Dambuster, and James Gamlin, Associate Lead Level Designer, NG+ was created to provide fans with compelling reasons to revisit the game with their favorite characters. This mode skips the original campaign's prologue and introduces players directly to modified challenges, including stronger and strategically placed zombies.

Dead Island 2 is a 2023 action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. It serves as the sequel to the 2011 hit Dead Island and represents the third major installment in the Dead Island series. Set roughly 15 years after the events of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, the game transports players to a zombie-infested Los Angeles, now under strict quarantine.
