SERUM' Game Review: A New Survival Experience Unfolded
What's your opinion? Please use the comment section under the video.
Serum thrusts you into a world ravaged by a global plague known as the Blight, where survival hinges on a mysterious substance called Serum. This concept alone sets 'SERUM' apart from typical survival games it's not just about scraping by, but strategically using this life-sustaining elixir to enhance your abilities and craft an arsenal against time and terror.
The graphics, powered by Unreal Engine 5, are nothing short of breathtaking. Each environment is meticulously designed, complete with unique challenges and secrets to uncover. The attention to detail in the world-building is commendable and adds depth to the overall gameplay experience.
Survival in 'SERUM' is a constant balancing act. Managing health, stamina, and the occasional side effects of Serum use adds to the game's realism. The sense of urgency is palpable, making each decision feel significant. For those who prefer company in the face of adversity, the online co-op mode offers a chance to team up and take on the Blight together.
During my playthrough, I encountered a notable glitch where my character unexpectedly fell through the game world. It was an unusual moment that disrupted the immersive experience suddenly finding myself beneath the world, with no immediate danger but also no way to continue. I had to restart the game and start from my base.
This glitch, while notable, didn't overshadow the potential of the 'SERUM' game. It's important to remember that this is a pre-access demo, and such hiccups are not uncommon in the early stages of game development. In fact, encountering and reporting these issues is part of what helps developers refine and optimize their games.
Despite this minor setback, my overall experience with the 'SERUM' game was positive. The game's unique blend of survival mechanics, the intriguing Serum brewing system, and the beautifully rendered environments all contribute to a promising survival game. The issue I faced is just a small part of the larger development process, and it's something I'm confident will be addressed as the game moves closer to its full release.
As 'SERUM' gears up for its debut in Steam's Early Access, I encourage survival game enthusiasts to give the demo a try. It's an opportunity not only to experience the game's innovative features firsthand but also to contribute to its development through your feedback. 'SERUM' is shaping up to be a game that offers both challenge and depth, and it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.
"I'll be closely following the development journey of 'SERUM,' eagerly anticipating the opportunity to experience the full game upon its release."
Have a blast!
