To commemorate the second anniversary of its original PC release, DarkStone Digital in collaboration with DreadXP, is excited to announce the console launch of "The Mortuary Assistant: Definitive Edition." This bone-chilling horror experience is set to arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on August 2nd. Additionally, the Definitive Edition introduces updated gameplay features to the existing PC and extends to Nintendo Switch versions.
In "The Mortuary Assistant," players step into the shoes of Rebecca Owens, a fresh graduate apprenticed at River Fields Mortuary. Tasked with handling late-night embalmings, Rebecca's mundane job takes a dark twist when unexpected demonic forces make an appearance. Communicating with the absent Mortician, Raymond, it becomes clear that this night will be unlike any other, with no escape from the sinister activities plaguing the mortuary.
The update includes new Haunt Events, an endless embalming-only mode, fresh lore, and a range of performance enhancements. Moreover, fans can look forward to a new Valentine's Day seasonal event come February.
"The Mortuary Assistant: Definitive Edition" not only revisits the eerie corridors of River Fields Mortuary but also expands the game's universe with added bodies, lore, and several performance improvements.
