Viral Multiplayer Review: Bang for Your Buck at Just 70 Cents
In a market flooded with high-priced games promising the world, "Viral Multiplayer" is a breath of fresh, albeit zombified, air. Priced at a mere 70 cents—practically a steal—this game delivers straightforward, no-frills fun that's hard to beat for the cost.
- Release Date: 26 July, 2024
- Genre: Action, Shooter, Multiplayer
- Developer: Archor Wright (Q&A with the Developer Here)
- Publisher: Archor Games
- Platforms: PC-Steam
Gameplay & Mechanics: Lacking any sort of narrative, "Viral Multiplayer" is all about the action. You're thrown into a world with unlimited ammo and no fall damage, which simplifies the gameplay to just running and gunning. The third-person shooting mechanics are somewhat satisfying, especially when taking on the hordes of green, watery zombies that burst like slow-motion water balloons when shot. It's a visceral pleasure akin to popping a balloon, which, while not groundbreaking, definitely has its moments of fun.
Graphics & Sound: The graphics are functional; nothing revolutionary but they get the job done. The sound design is minimal, with realistic gun noises but little in the way of a soundtrack to enhance the ambiance.
Solo Play: While I didn't get a chance to test out the multiplayer aspect due to a distinct lack of gaming comrades, the solo raids were engaging enough. It's worth noting that navigating the game alone can be challenging yet rewarding, especially when faced with 100 of those green zombies.

Drawbacks: While necessary, infinite ammo can make continuous shooting a bit tedious. Also, I encountered a few frustrating glitches that got me stuck in the game environment.
Overall: For just 70 cents, "Viral Multiplayer" offers solid entertainment value, particularly if you can team up with friends. The game supports different maps and modes that should keep you and your buddies engaged for at least a couple of hours. It's well-optimized, ensuring most modern PCs can run it without a hitch.
Score: 7/10
"Viral Multiplayer" proves that sometimes, fun doesn't have to come at a high price. It's a game that sticks to the basics and does them well enough to warrant a look. So, if you're in the mood for some uncomplicated zombie-shooting action, check it out on Steam. Game on!
