XDefiant is set to unleash its free-to-play arcade shooter action with the preseason launch on May 21 at 10AM PT/1PM ET for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC via Ubisoft Connect. Get ready into the fast-paced combat featuring five distinct game modes across 14 maps, 24 weapons with 44 attachments, and five factions inspired by Ubisoft franchises, each offering unique gameplay buffs and abilities.

Choose Your Faction and Rule the Arena

In XDefiant, you can select your faction and loadout before a match starts, or switch upon respawning to adapt to the evolving fight. Here's what each faction brings to the battlefield:

1. Libertad

• Active Abilities: BioVida medication for superior healing support.

• Passive Buff: Enhanced health regeneration.

• Ultra Ability: Medical Rush for swift team-wide healing.

2. Cleaners

• Active Abilities: Fire-based attacks to incinerate enemies.

• Passive Buff: Increased damage output.

• Ultra Ability: Firestorm for area-wide fire damage.

3. Echelon (Splinter Cell)

• Active Abilities: Stealth technology to reveal enemy locations and render themselves invisible.

• Passive Buff: Faster crouched movement.

• Ultra Ability: Sonar Goggles for real-time enemy tracking.

4. Phantoms

• Active Abilities: Advanced tech to block incoming damage.

• Passive Buff: Reduced explosive damage.

• Ultra Ability: Blitz Shield to shield teammates.

5. DedSec (Watch Dogs)

• Active Abilities: Hack enemy gadgets and deploy spiderbots.

• Passive Buff: Increased hack speed.

• Ultra Ability: Lockout to disable enemy abilities.

Note: DedSec and two additional faction characters will initially be locked but can be unlocked by completing in-game missions.

Loadouts and Weapon Customization

Choose a primary and secondary weapon along with a grenade, and customize them to your liking. Here's a taste of the arsenal:

• Weapon Types: Assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, marksman rifles, and sniper rifles.

• Attachments: Sights, grips, stocks, magazines, barrels, and muzzles to fine-tune your loadout.

Earn weapon XP to unlock new customization options and maximize your combat potential.

Game Modes: Arena vs. Linear

1. Arena Modes

• Domination: Teams vie to control three static zones.

• Occupy: Capture a single zone that moves across the map.

• HotShot: Secure tags from fallen foes to become the HotShot and gain buffs.

2. Linear Modes

• Zone Control: Attackers secure five zones while defenders try to stop them.

• Escort: Attackers must deliver a package while defenders try to block them.
