63 Days": A Tactical Journey Through War-Torn Warsaw

02/08/2024

In 1944, Warsaw was a city under siege, a focal point of resistance against oppressors that had dominated Poland for over a century. "63 Days," the latest release from Destructive Creations, dives deep into this historical moment, providing players with a gritty, real-time tactics experience that merges historical strife with strategic gameplay.

Set against the backdrop of a city clawing back its independence, "63 Days" is inspired by true events where the stakes were life and death. The game's narrative centers around a group of fighters, the first generation born into a free Poland after 123 years of occupation. Stripped of their families, homes, and futures by the outbreak of WWII, these characters are bound by a shared desperation and a united resolve to reclaim control over their lives and their nation—no matter the cost.

As an isometric tactics game, "63 Days" builds on the mechanics of Destructive Creations' previous title, "War Mongrels," enhancing the experience with refined gameplay elements, stunning graphics, and an evocative soundtrack composed by the legendary Adam Skorupa. Players are thrown into the heart of covert operations, where stealth, strategy, and brotherhood determine the odds of survival and success.

The game promises a mix of intense strategy and emotional narrative, offering players various tactical approaches to each mission. Whether opting for stealth to minimize losses or engaging in direct combat when necessary, players must use their understanding of the war-torn cityscape to their advantage. The ruins of Warsaw are not just a setting but an active element of gameplay, providing cover and strategic opportunities to outmaneuver the enemy.

Currently available in a closed demo by registration, "63 Days" is also set to release an expanded public demo in the coming weeks. The full game is slated for a simultaneous launch in 2024 on multiple platforms including PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

As the game progresses, players will find that their decisions not only affect their survival but also the legacy of their resistance. "Our bravery will be remembered for generations," promises the team, emphasizing the enduring human spirit amidst the darkest times.
