Submit to Fix Stories
Submit to Fix Stories if you are a developer or creator who wants to share the real story behind your game. Fix Stories is a developer-authored series hosted by Fix Gaming Channel, built around first-person stories about lessons, choices, setbacks, breakthroughs, and the human side of making games.
This is not a press release slot or a standard promotion page. We are looking for personal, honest, developer-written stories about what it actually took to make, solve, survive, or learn something during development.
Your voice stays intact. We may proofread lightly for spelling, clarity, and readability, but the story should still feel like it came from you.
What kind of stories fit?
- A real lesson from your game’s development.
- A design, art, audio, production, or marketing challenge you had to solve.
- A mistake, setback, or difficult choice that changed the project.
- A personal moment that shaped the game or your approach as a creator.
- A behind-the-scenes story that players would not normally hear.
What you get
- Publication on Fix Gaming Channel with your byline, studio link, and socials.
- Optional embed of your trailer and up to 3 official screenshots, with captions and credits.
- 1–2 social shares from our channels after publication.
- A clean article page you can share with your community, press contacts, players, or partners.
What to send
- 600–900 words written in first person, either in the email body or as a .docx/.rtf file.
- 1–3 images at 1920×1080 or higher, with clear filenames such as gamename-screenshot-01.jpg, plus captions and credits.
- Useful links: your Steam page, itch.io page, website, socials, trailer, or press kit.
- Byline details: name, role, studio, and a short one-line bio.
Before you submit
Please keep the story focused. Fix Stories works best when it is personal and specific, not a broad marketing overview. Tell us what happened, why it mattered, what you learned, and how it shaped the game.
You can read more from Fix Gaming Channel’s Fix Stories section before sending your submission.
Rights
You keep full copyright to your story. By submitting, you grant Fix Gaming Channel a non-exclusive license to publish and promote the article on our site and social channels, with proper attribution, and to keep it available in our archive.
You are free to republish the story elsewhere later. We only ask that you link back to the original Fix Gaming Channel version when possible.
Submissions are reviewed case by case, and publication is not guaranteed. The best fit is a genuine story with something personal, useful, or meaningful behind it.
