2. Scope

This notice applies when you browse our site; contact us; subscribe to our newsletter; submit editorial materials, including Fix Stories; interact with FGC through email, Discord, social media, direct messages, comments, replies, tags, mentions, or third-party platforms; or engage with our developer-services arm, Fix Access. It explains our practices and your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, CPRA (California), and the Philippines Data Privacy Act where applicable.

3. Terms of Use

3.1 Acceptance

By using the site, interacting with FGC, submitting materials, or contacting FGC through any official or related channel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit materials to us.

3.2 Intellectual property

All site content, including articles, reviews, interviews, images, video embeds, screenshots, layouts, branding, editorial formatting, headlines, excerpts, and related materials, is owned by Fix Gaming Channel or its licensors unless stated otherwise. Linking is welcome. Copying or re-publishing requires prior written permission, except for short quotes with attribution and lawful fair use/fair dealing where applicable. Trademarks, game assets, logos, publisher materials, and platform assets remain the property of their respective owners.

3.3 Editorial independence, freelance structure & disclosures

FGC is independent and freelance-led. We are not owned by a publisher, platform holder, studio, PR agency, venture-backed media group, corporate games network, or incorporated media company. Editorial decisions are made independently by the publisher/editorial team.

We may receive review keys, partner access, press materials, event access, affiliate links, creator-code opportunities, or sponsored opportunities; we disclose material relationships where relevant. Opinions remain independent. Paid services through Fix Access do not guarantee editorial coverage; any sponsored material is labeled.

Contributors, writers, reviewers, editors, guests, and collaborators are responsible for their own submitted work, statements, opinions, and materials, subject to FGC’s editorial review and publication standards. Unless clearly stated otherwise, contributor participation does not create employment, partnership, agency, corporate representation, or legal authority to act on behalf of FGC.

3.4 Editorial content, opinion & corrections

Fix Gaming Channel publishes gaming news, reviews, interviews, features, opinion pieces, editorials, commentary, and analysis. Some articles may include criticism, investigative reporting, opinion, or editorial conclusions based on publicly available information, direct communication, provided documentation, review access, press releases, developer or publisher statements, platform listings, gameplay experience, and other sources available at the time of publication.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, any opinion, criticism, review score, editorial conclusion, or commentary published on Fix Gaming Channel should not be interpreted as a legal finding, criminal accusation, or statement that any person, studio, publisher, company, or organization has violated civil or criminal law.

We aim to separate factual reporting from opinion and analysis. Where appropriate, we may link to sources, quote official statements, include right-of-reply comments, or update articles when new information becomes available.

If a party mentioned in an article believes something is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or missing important context, they may contact Fix Gaming Channel at legal@fixgamingchannel.com with supporting documentation. We will review credible correction requests and, where appropriate, update, clarify, correct, remove, or add context to the article.

Corrections, clarifications, or updates may be added to the article itself, noted at the bottom of the article, or handled through a separate update depending on the nature of the issue.

3.5 Submissions & license, including Fix Stories

If you submit text, images, screenshots, videos, documents, press kits, keys, statements, comments, or other materials, you confirm you have the rights and permission to do so. You grant FGC a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, host, store, index, quote, excerpt, edit, format, display, promote, and archive your submission with credit where appropriate. You retain copyright in your own original work.

We may lightly edit submissions for clarity, grammar, spelling, formatting, headlines, captions, metadata, SEO, or layout without changing your voice or meaning. Where appropriate, we may share edits for approval before publishing. We are not obliged to publish or return materials and may remove content for legal, editorial, security, privacy, or operational reasons.

3.6 Acceptable use, conduct & communications

Do not misuse the site, including by attempting to breach security, scrape at scale, harvest emails, interfere with service, impersonate others, submit unlawful material, or infringe intellectual property rights. Automated access beyond normal browsing is prohibited without our written consent. We may restrict access for violations.

These conduct rules also apply to communications and interactions involving FGC across email, contact forms, newsletters, Discord, social media, direct messages, comments, replies, tags, mentions, video platforms, forums, third-party websites, private messages, and any other online or offline channel where a person contacts, references, targets, copies, misuses, misrepresents, or attempts to influence FGC, its publisher, contributors, freelancers, collaborators, sources, partners, service providers, or editorial work.

Threats, intimidation, harassment, coercion, bad-faith pressure, or abusive communications directed at FGC, its publisher, contributors, freelancers, collaborators, sources, partners, or service providers are not accepted. This includes attempts to pressure any person connected to FGC into changing, removing, suppressing, approving, denying, or influencing editorial work outside the correction, right-of-reply, or legal notice process described in these Terms.

False, misleading, unsupported, defamatory, abusive, unauthorized, or bad-faith claims made against FGC, its publisher, contributors, freelancers, collaborators, sources, partners, service providers, or editorial work will be taken seriously.

False, misleading, defamatory, abusive, unauthorized, or bad-faith use of FGC content, branding, communications, screenshots, articles, contributor names, editorial work, or related materials is not accepted. This includes misrepresenting FGC’s work, altering or selectively presenting content in a misleading way, falsely attributing statements to FGC or its contributors, impersonating FGC or anyone connected to it, submitting false platform reports, or using FGC content to harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, pressure, or target any person connected to the publication.

Where reasonably necessary, FGC may preserve emails, messages, screenshots, URLs, posts, metadata, attachments, account information, platform reports, and related communications for editorial, legal, security, dispute-resolution, correction, or record-keeping purposes. Serious threats, harassment, intimidation, impersonation, extortion attempts, coordinated targeting, copyright misuse, false reports, defamatory claims, or unlawful conduct may be reported to relevant platforms, service providers, legal advisers, or authorities where appropriate.

3.7 Links, embeds & third-party services

We link to and embed third-party services, including Rumble, YouTube, Steam, social platforms, publisher pages, store pages, and other external services. Their content, availability, practices, and policies are their responsibility. Use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

3.8 Availability

We aim for high uptime, but the site may be unavailable at times for maintenance, hosting, security, network, plugin, provider, or other technical reasons.

3.9 Disclaimers

Content is provided “as is.” We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee completeness, timeliness, uninterrupted access, or error-free publication. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical, investment, tax, or other professional advice. Use the site at your own risk.

3.10 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FGC, its publisher, contributors, freelancers, collaborators, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in such cases, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

3.11 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify FGC for losses arising from your unlawful use of the site or violation of these Terms, including intellectual property infringement, abusive conduct, unlawful submissions, security misuse, unauthorized scraping, impersonation, false platform reports, or misuse of FGC content, branding, communications, contributor names, or editorial work.

3.12 Governing law & venue

These Terms, and any non-contractual disputes or claims, are governed by Norwegian law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue is the Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett). Publication is made from Norway; mere accessibility elsewhere does not, by itself, submit us to other jurisdictions. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence may also apply where required by law.

3.13 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

3.14 Legal notices, disputes & authority to act

Formal legal notices, correction requests, takedown requests, right-of-reply requests, privacy requests, and dispute-related communications should be sent to legal@fixgamingchannel.com. Messages sent elsewhere may not be treated as formal notice unless FGC confirms receipt through the appropriate channel.

Correction and right-of-reply requests should identify the relevant article URL, post, message, platform link, screenshot, or statement being challenged; explain the specific issue; and include supporting documentation where available. We may review credible requests and, where appropriate, update, clarify, correct, remove, or add context to published material. Disagreement with criticism, opinion, review scores, editorial judgment, or lawful commentary does not by itself require removal or alteration.

FGC is freelance-led and not a separate incorporated company or corporation. Unless clearly authorized in writing by the publisher of record, no contributor, freelancer, reviewer, guest, collaborator, partner, Discord member, social media contact, or third party has authority to accept legal service, settle disputes, make binding legal commitments, waive rights, approve takedowns, promise coverage, represent FGC legally, or act as an official spokesperson on behalf of FGC.

We reserve editorial discretion over whether and how to publish, update, correct, clarify, respond to, archive, or remove content, subject to applicable law. We do not accept attempts to use threats, intimidation, harassment, false claims, bad-faith pressure, false platform reports, misleading public allegations, or abusive communications to influence editorial decisions.

4. What we collect

  • Information you provide: name, email, biography, links, and any content you send, including stories, screenshots with titles/captions/alt text, press kits, pitches, review materials, correction requests, legal notices, takedown requests, platform reports, security reports, and other correspondence. For Fix Access, see the Addendum below.
  • Automatic data: IP address, browser/device type, general location such as city/country, pages viewed, referrers, timestamps, interaction data, and security-related signals captured by our host/CDN and security tools for operation, performance, and abuse prevention.
  • From third parties/embeds/platforms: When you interact with embedded media, including Rumble or YouTube, Steam store widgets, social media embeds, advertising, analytics, or other third-party services, those services may collect data under their own policies. If disputes, abuse, harassment, impersonation, false reports, or platform issues arise, we may also retain relevant platform links, screenshots, account names, public posts, messages, reports, and related context where reasonably necessary.

5. How we use data & legal bases

  • Site operation & security (legitimate interests/contract): deliver pages, prevent abuse, detect security issues, and keep services running.
  • Editorial workflows (contract/legitimate interests): review, edit for clarity/format without changing your voice or meaning, publish, credit you, communicate about your submission, respond to correction requests, and maintain editorial records.
  • Newsletter (consent): send updates via Mailchimp or another newsletter provider; you can unsubscribe anytime.
  • Legal compliance, dispute handling & abuse prevention (legal obligation/legitimate interests): fulfill rights requests, keep required records, enforce terms, review takedown notices, respond to correction or right-of-reply requests, preserve relevant evidence, handle disputes, protect contributors, report serious abuse or unlawful conduct where appropriate, and comply with applicable laws.
  • Advertising & measurement (legitimate interests and/or consent where required): support the site, measure performance, understand content reach, and improve user experience, depending on regional consent requirements and configuration.

6. Cookies & similar tech

We use a mix of necessary site cookies/technologies for security and basic operation and, where enabled, measurement and advertising technologies to support the site.

  • Necessary / security: Our host/CDN and security tools may set essential cookies or use similar signals to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and keep the site stable.
  • Measurement (Analytics): We may use analytics, including Google Analytics via Site Kit, to understand aggregated site usage, such as page views, traffic sources, and general performance. This may use cookies or similar identifiers depending on configuration and region.
  • Advertising (AdSense): We display limited ads through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including non-personalized ads and, where permitted, personalized ads. Ad formats may include in-page ads and overlay-style formats, such as anchors, depending on device and settings.
  • Embeds: When you interact with embedded media, including Rumble, YouTube, Steam widgets, social posts, or other third-party embeds, those services may collect data under their own policies.

In some regions, such as the EEA/UK, advertising and/or analytics may be limited until you make a consent choice where required. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and device controls.

7. Affiliates, promotions & independence

Some posts may include affiliate links, creator codes, review keys, partner access, paid collaborations, or sponsored placements. We disclose material relationships where relevant. Opinions remain independent. We do not knowingly sell personal information as defined by CPRA. Where certain advertising-related transfers are treated as “sharing” under some laws, you can contact us to request an opt-out where applicable. See Sections 15 and 19.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, the California CPRA, the Philippines Data Privacy Act, or other applicable privacy laws. To submit a request, email legal@fixgamingchannel.com. We may verify your identity. We aim to respond within: 1 month for GDPR/UK GDPR/PH requests and 45 days for CPRA requests, with permitted extensions where necessary.

9. Children’s data

Our site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under 16 where applicable. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Accounts & comments

We do not offer public user logins or public comments on the site. You can read our content without creating an account. Interactions on third-party platforms, including Discord, YouTube, Facebook, X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, forums, or other services, are also subject to the rules and policies of those platforms.

11. Processors & sharing

We share data with service providers solely to run the site, protect it, communicate with readers, and support editorial or business workflows, under appropriate safeguards. These may include WordPress/hosting, security firewall tools such as Wordfence, CDN/anti-DDoS services, email/newsletter providers such as Mailchimp, analytics such as Google Analytics, advertising such as Google AdSense, embedded media hosts such as Rumble and YouTube, Steam widgets, social platforms, and standard email/storage tools. We do not knowingly sell personal information or disclose it for unlawful cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where reasonably necessary to protect FGC, its contributors, sources, readers, services, rights, or legal interests, we may share relevant evidence or records with platforms, hosting providers, service providers, legal advisers, insurers, law enforcement, regulators, or authorities. This may include records related to threats, harassment, impersonation, false reports, copyright misuse, defamation claims, security issues, or unlawful conduct.

12. Security & retention

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards suitable for a small publisher. No method is 100% secure. Typical retention: submission correspondence up to 24 months, longer if published or legally necessary; security logs 30–180 days; newsletter data until you unsubscribe or your address deactivates; legal/accounting records as required by law; correction, takedown, platform-abuse, threat, harassment, impersonation, security, and legal correspondence as long as reasonably necessary to handle the matter and protect legitimate interests.

13. International transfers

We may process data globally. When required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and provider DPAs for transfers outside your jurisdiction. We do not currently maintain an EU/UK representative; if our processing changes such that this is required, we will designate one and update this notice.

14. External links

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices.

15. Do Not Track; sale/share opt-outs

Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal; we do not respond to DNT as no standard is widely adopted. We do not knowingly sell personal information. We may use third-party services, such as Google AdSense, to display ads and measure performance; depending on your region and settings, this may involve limited sharing of device/usage data for ad delivery and measurement. Where an opt-out right applies, including for California residents, you can submit a request by emailing legal@fixgamingchannel.com.

16. Fix Access — Developer Services (Addendum)

Fix Access is a developer-services arm of the Fix Gaming Channel brand. It is freelance-led and independent, not a separate incorporated agency, corporation, or PR firm. If you work with us through Fix Access, including mock reviews, PR/outreach support, press-kit work, trailer consulting, Steam page feedback, visibility audits, or related developer services, we may process contact details, business information, game information, assets you share, documents, screenshots, builds/keys, correspondence, and project notes. We use this to perform the services (contract), operate securely (legitimate interests), communicate with you, and meet legal obligations.

We keep engagement records for the duration of the project plus up to 24 months, longer if legally required or reasonably necessary to protect legitimate interests. We use standard tools for email, storage, project tracking, and invoicing; if a non-standard tool is required, we will disclose it during onboarding. NDAs and confidentiality commitments, if applicable, apply in addition to this Notice.

Editorial independence: paid services do not guarantee coverage, scores, recommendations, reviews, interviews, or positive treatment, and any sponsored content is clearly labeled. You agree not to provide unauthorized keys, builds, materials, confidential third-party information, or assets you do not have permission to share, and not to request removal or alteration of accurate, independent editorial content.

17. Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (VDP)

We welcome good-faith security research.

Scope

In scope: fixgamingchannel.com and subpages, including forms/session handling. Out of scope: social accounts; denial-of-service/resource-exhaustion tests; spam/SEO issues; best-practice advice without exploitable impact; physical attacks; or social-engineering attacks.

How to report

Email legal@fixgamingchannel.com with type/impact, CWE if known, affected URLs, reproduction steps, minimal PoC, no DoS/automation, and evidence. Please redact personal data where possible.

Our commitments

  • Acknowledge valid reports within 3 business days.
  • Provide a status update within 10 business days.
  • Coordinate disclosure; default remediation target 90 days.

Research rules & safe harbor

  • No service disruption, resource exhaustion, spam, destructive testing, or automated high-volume scanning.
  • Only access your own data; if you unintentionally access non-public personal data, stop and report immediately.
  • No social engineering of our team, contributors, readers, partners, or providers.

If you follow this policy, limit testing to scope, avoid privacy violations, and promptly report findings, we will not pursue or support legal action related to good-faith research. Our security contact and policy are also published at /.well-known/security.txt.

18. Breach notification & legal notes

If a reported issue leads to or reveals a personal-data breach creating risk to individuals, we will assess and notify as required, including under GDPR/UK GDPR, where regulatory notice is typically required within 72 hours when applicable, the Philippines Data Privacy Act and National Privacy Commission rules, and relevant US state breach laws. This policy does not authorize testing that violates applicable law.

19. Notices for California residents (CPRA)

  • Categories collected: identifiers, such as name or email; internet activity, such as log data and interaction data; user-submitted content; and business/contact information where provided.
  • Purposes: site operation, security, communications, editorial workflows, newsletter delivery, legal compliance, dispute handling, abuse prevention, advertising, and measurement.
  • Sensitive data: we do not intend to collect or infer sensitive personal information.
  • Sale/Share: We do not knowingly sell personal information. We may use advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to display ads and measure performance; if “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising applies under CPRA in a given scenario, California residents may opt out by contacting legal@fixgamingchannel.com.
  • Retention: see Section 12.
  • Rights: know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/share, limit use of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination. Submit requests via legal@fixgamingchannel.com. Authorized agents may act with proof of authority and we may still require user verification.

20. Takedowns & IP complaints (DMCA-style)

If you believe content on our site infringes your rights, email legal@fixgamingchannel.com with: your contact details; description of the work; URL of the allegedly infringing material; a statement of good-faith belief; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act. We may remove content while we assess the claim.

False or bad-faith takedown claims, false platform reports, impersonation, or misuse of intellectual property procedures against FGC, its contributors, or its editorial work may be preserved, challenged, reported to the relevant platform or service provider, and handled as part of our legal, editorial, and dispute records.

21. Corrections, right of reply, legal notices & abusive communications

For correction requests, right-of-reply requests, legal notices, privacy requests, takedown claims, platform abuse reports, impersonation reports, or security reports, contact legal@fixgamingchannel.com. Please include the relevant article URL, post, message, platform link, screenshot, a clear explanation of the issue, and supporting documentation where available. We may request additional information to verify the request and assess whether an update, clarification, correction, removal, response, platform report, or other action is appropriate.

FGC may decline to engage with abusive, threatening, harassing, repetitive, misleading, unsupported, or bad-faith communications, whether received through email, the website, Discord, social media, direct messages, comments, replies, tags, mentions, video platforms, forums, third-party websites, or other channels. We may preserve such communications as part of our editorial, legal, security, and dispute records.

FGC may also act where its content, branding, screenshots, articles, contributor names, communications, or editorial work are used in a false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, unauthorized, or bad-faith way. This may include preserving evidence, requesting correction or removal, reporting the matter to the relevant platform or service provider, seeking legal advice, or contacting appropriate authorities where necessary.

Nothing in this section prevents FGC from correcting genuine errors. At the same time, criticism, opinion, commentary, review conclusions, or editorial analysis will not be removed solely because a person, company, studio, organization, or third party disagrees with it.

22. Changes

We may update this combined Terms + Privacy notice as our services, editorial practices, technical setup, advertising tools, platform presence, dispute-handling needs, or laws change. Material updates will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, additional notice.
