Enshrouded update: warrior faces monster in dark forest scene

Enshrouded Adds Difficulty Options, FSR 3, and Customization

Posted on July 29, 2024June 6, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Frankfurt, Germany – July 29th, 2024 – Keen Games is giving its nearly 3 million players more power over how they play Enshrouded with today’s feature-rich update. The patch delivers expanded customization, new difficulty modes, and major quality-of-life improvements, all part of the developer’s ongoing 2024 roadmap for the early access hit.

New Difficulty Settings for All Playstyles

The latest update introduces three new difficulty options Default, Custom, and Survival, allowing players to choose their challenge level. From relaxed exploration to hardcore survival, each mode supports different types of play while remaining true to the game’s open-world structure.

Interior Design Meets Adventure

Fossils and collectible items now appear throughout Embervale and can be placed inside player homes. Additionally, new craftable display stands let adventurers showcase their weapons and armor sets, adding a layer of personality to their base building.

More Ways to Customize Your Hero

Character creation is now even more flexible. Players can choose from new skin tones, eye colors, and eyebrow shapes, and also swap out full armor sets quickly to suit both style and strategy.

30+ Configurable Gameplay Options

Want more control? Players can now tweak over 30 game settings, including enemy damage, starvation, and boss health. Whether you’re optimizing for solo survival or tweaking balance for co-op runs, the new options let players tailor the experience.

Combat & Class Improvements

Parries and blocks have been tuned, and melee and magic-focused classes are better balanced overall. Keen Games continues listening to player feedback and is steadily evolving both combat flow and challenge design.
