Atomfall Triumphs With Over 15 Million Players in Its Debut Weekend

Posted on April 1, 2025June 24, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Oxford, April 1, 2025—Rebellion, one of the world’s most successful independent video game developers and publishers, has announced that Atomfall significantly surpassed the one million player mark over the weekend, having only launched last week. In total, Atomfall has now been played by over 1.5 million players. A brand-new IP set in the north of England, Atomfall is Rebellion’s most successful launch in the company’s 32-year history.

“We are delighted that so many players are enjoying Atomfall,” said Jason Kingsley CBE, CEO and co-founder of Rebellion. “To have surpassed the one million players in such a short space of time speaks volumes for the creativity and dedication of the entire team here at Rebellion. Our size and stability mean that we can take risks to create something as different as Atomfall. Happily, that risk is paying off.”

“We are a British company, and the game is a true reflection of that. Not only is it set in the lush, beautiful countryside, but Atomfall also draws inspiration from so many classic British books, films, and TV series,” continued Jason.

Check out my gameplay:

“We hope that players continue to enjoy exploring the world of Atomfall and are looking forward to future content for the game.”

Atomfall players are proving to be a brutal bunch, as over 316,000 gamers have killed the scientist at the very beginning of the game. In total, there have been over 3.7 million kills using the cricket bat, while over 4 million pasties and 300,000 cups of tea have been consumed. How very British.

Following a positive critical reception, Atomfall launched into early access for Deluxe Edition players on Monday, March 24th, with the full launch, including Game Pass, on Thursday, March 27th.

Personal Experience

Having personally played Atomfall for 12 hours since its release, I can attest that the game runs impeccably without any bugs, lag, or graphic issues. Everything is smooth, exactly as it should be. The game is so compelling that it has already secured a spot on my top 10 list for this year. It’s hard to imagine many games surpassing this level of polish and engagement. Atomfall is not just a game; it’s an experience that sets a new standard in the industry.
