Mother Hub

Fix Gaming Recommends Mother Hub a Must Play Retro Fps

Posted on March 31, 2025May 8, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

As someone who spends most days reviewing and exploring games, things can sometimes get repetitive. But once in a while, a title comes along and genuinely surprises me—Mother Hub by O’Dale Studios is exactly that kind of game. It’s a retro-inspired FPS set for release on April 24, 2025, and honestly, it grabbed my attention right from the start.

Mother Hub

Release Date: April 24, 2025

Genre: Retro FPS, Horror

Developer/Publisher: O’Dale Studios

Tags: Sci-Fi, FPS, Horror, Indie

Platforms: PC, Steam

Why did Mother Hub stand out?

It effortlessly hit all my personal gaming sweet spots:

Horror? Check.

FPS action? Definitely check.

Futuristic weapons to discover? Big check.

Pulse-pounding action sequences? Absolutely.

Nostalgic, early 2000s sci-fi aesthetic? Perfectly nailed.

In Mother Hub, you take on the role of Thea, navigating a massive, creepy vault that’s falling apart at the seams. Your mission? Find a cure and save humanity. The environments are stunningly eerie—every room feels like it’s hiding something that you might regret finding. And those futuristic weapons? They aren’t just flashy toys; you’ll absolutely need them when facing off against some seriously terrifying creatures.

But what really impressed me is how naturally the game blends storytelling into the gameplay. O’Dale Studios did a fantastic job weaving in audio logs, emails, and mysterious documents. Each discovery made me feel more involved in uncovering Thea’s story and the vault’s haunting past.

Interestingly enough, I first reached out to the developer last year via DM or tweet, though I honestly can’t remember exactly. However, it happened, we ended up staying in touch, and I got a chance to experience the full game early. Unfortunately, that’s about all I can reveal right now. But trust me, the demo on Steam? It’s fantastic, and you’re genuinely in for something special.

It’s rare these days for a game to truly surprise me, but Mother Hub brought that sense of excitement back. Reviewing games, making gameplay videos, and promoting indie titles is something I genuinely love, and experiences like this make it all even more rewarding.

Seriously, keep Mother Hub on your radar. April can’t come soon enough.
