This announcement followed a Special Panel at SXSW in Austin, Texas, where Hideo Kojima was joined by Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and acclaimed musician Woodkid. Fans attending the panel were treated to an exclusive reveal of the new trailer for DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, which is now publicly available online.

The upcoming sequel features returning stars Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker, alongside new cast members Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Oscar-winning director George Miller. Pre-orders for DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH are now open exclusively for PlayStation®5.

The original DEATH STRANDING, launched in November 2019, introduced players to a haunting and emotional narrative centered around Sam Porter Bridges, portrayed by Norman Reedus. Tasked with reconnecting the remnants of society, the game offered a unique blend of exploration, tension, and social interaction. The enhanced DIRECTOR’S CUT edition is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games, iOS, and Amazon Luna.

For fans looking to go even deeper, the documentary HIDEO KOJIMA: CONNECTING WORLDS is now streaming on Disney+, offering a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into Kojima’s visionary process and the making of his iconic games.
