Ashes of the Damned: The Forgotten Ward Scheduled to Launch August 19

Crimson Cloud Games has announced an August 19, 2026, release date for its first-person psychological horror game.

Ashes of the Damned: The Forgotten Ward is scheduled to launch for PC through Steam on August 19, 2026.

Developed and published by Crimson Cloud Games, the game takes players inside an abandoned psychiatric ward filled with patient records, environmental puzzles, locked areas, and supernatural entities.

Players must investigate the ward, collect patient files, uncover what happened inside the facility, and find a way to escape. The game does not feature combat, meaning players cannot fight the entities stalking its halls.

Survival Without Combat

Exploration and environmental storytelling will play a central role. Patient records found throughout the ward will reveal information about its former residents and the events that took place there.

Players will need to solve puzzles and search the environment while avoiding danger. When an entity appears, survival depends on hiding, escaping, and knowing when it is safe to continue.

The official trailer provides a closer look at the ward, several supernatural threats, and the game’s dark psychological-horror atmosphere.

Ashes of the Damned: The Forgotten Ward can now be added to players’ Steam wishlists ahead of its scheduled August 19 release.
