Duskfade key art showing the protagonist riding across a fantasy town beneath a giant clock tower

Duskfade Opens to Very Positive Steam Reviews

Posted on August 14, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

The 3D action-platformer is now available across PC and consoles

Duskfade has launched for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, opening to a Very Positive response from early Steam players.

Developed by Weird Beluga and published by Fireshine Games, the 3D action-platformer was released on August 13, 2026.

When checked, 90% of its first 85 Steam-purchaser reviews were positive. That is an encouraging opening, although the total remains small and the percentage will continue changing as more players spend time with the complete game.

For another recent game taking the 3D platformer in a very different direction, read our review of Funi Raccoon Game.

A World Trapped in Eternal Night

Duskfade follows Zirian and his mechanical companion, Cuckoo. Together, they must rescue Zirian’s sister from a mysterious Clock Tower that has left the surrounding world trapped in eternal night.

The adventure combines fast combat with movement abilities including jumping, dashing, grappling, grinding, and gliding. Its locations range from ethereal forests and underwater areas to sunlit deserts and environments above the clouds.

Each stage contains platforming challenges, combat encounters, and secrets positioned away from the main route. The game is presented as a modern tribute to classic 3D action-platformers.

Launch Discount Available Until August 27

The regular US Steam price is $29.99. A 20% introductory discount reduces it to $23.99 until August 27. Prices and promotional periods may differ between platforms and regions.

The current Very Positive Steam rating reflects reviews submitted during the opening days. The percentage and total review count should be checked again before being referenced in future coverage.

We will spend time with the game over the next few days before sharing our own coverage.

Readers interested in another indie project combining platforming with a different genre can also read our coverage of Tempest Tower.
