Where Winds Meet Launches Worldwide as Free-to-Play Open-World ARPG

Posted on November 18, 2025May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Where Winds Meet launches worldwide as a free-to-play Wuxia open-world ARPG on PC and PlayStation 5.

Where Winds Meet, the open-world Wuxia action RPG from Everstone Studio and NetEase Games, is now available worldwide as a free-to-play title on PC and PlayStation 5. Players can jump in on Steam, Epic Games Store, the official PC launcher, or PlayStation 5 with full cross-play and cross-progression support.
If you enjoy ambitious open-world titles, check out our coverage of Brew and Operation Purge.

Set in 10th-century China during the turbulent Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the game lets you step into the role of a wandering sword master and carve out your own legend. You can explore a large world, master dozens of Martial Mystic Arts, and decide whether to roam solo or team up with others as Season 1, Blade Out, kicks off.

Where Winds Meet – 5K Ultrawide Gameplay (PC)

Where Winds Meet

Release: November 14, 2025 (Global Launch, Free-to-Play)

Genre: Open-world Wuxia action RPG

Developer / Publisher: Everstone Studio / NetEase Games

Platforms: PC — Steam, Epic Games Store, Official PC launcher, PlayStation Store

To celebrate launch, Everstone is giving early players a big stack of cosmetics: more than 180 items, including over 80 outfits, 100+ accessories, emotes, decorations, and inscriptions. All of these are available for free to help players customise their wanderer without turning the game into a pay-to-win race.

A quiet, intimate moment hints at the more emotional side of Where Winds Meet’s storytelling.

Combat-focused players can roam the countryside, pick fights, and carve out a reputation across the open world.

From quiet mountain paths to hidden temples, the world blends history with Wuxia fantasy.

Out in the world, you can explore more than 20 distinct regions, interact with thousands of NPCs, and pick a role that suits your playstyle – from doctor or merchant to assassin or bounty hunter. Whether you play solo or team up with others, the idea is to craft your own legend in a Wuxia sandbox where your choices shape how people see you.
