Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition Launches October 31 in Retro Tribute

PAC-MAN returns home as PLAION REPLAI, Atari, and Bandai Namco celebrate 45 years of arcade history with a reimagined classic console

Theale, UK – July 21, 2025: PLAION REPLAI, Atari, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. have officially unveiled the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition, a modern reimagining of the iconic 8-bit console. Launching worldwide on October 31, 2025, this special release comes in PAC-MAN’s signature yellow, featuring custom lighting, a wireless joystick, and a dual-game cartridge with two legendary versions of gaming’s most famous maze-runner.

This tribute not only honors the original 1981 home console debut of PAC-MAN, but also highlights Bandai Namco’s continued cultural impact—on screens and beyond. In fact, the company is also behind the new Dragon Ball theme park in Saudi Arabia, showing that its legacy spans far more than pixels.

What’s Included in the PAC-MAN Edition

• Custom Console Design: Bright yellow finish with illuminated PAC-MAN character icons across the front.
• PAC-MAN Double Feature Cartridge: Includes PAC-MAN 7800, a new arcade-style version, and the original PAC-MAN 2600.

• CX-40+ Wireless Joystick (Yellow): Inspired by PAC-MAN and included in the retail bundle.

Standalone Joysticks Inspired by the Ghosts

The PAC-MAN CX-40+ Wireless Joysticks will also be available separately in five colors, each themed after one of the game’s iconic characters:

• Orange – Clyde

Each joystick will be priced at £29.99, with pre-orders opening July 23, 2025.
