Build your own bullet hell in Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell — Create Chaos

Posted on November 16, 2025January 23, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell — Create Chaos lets you design the danger on Steam

Most bullet hell games are about surviving someone else’s patterns. In Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell — Create Chaos, solo developer Airem flips that idea: you’re the one building the bullet curtains. The game has now launched on Steam, with a free demo available for anyone who wants to test their pattern ideas before buying.

We covered the project earlier when the demo appeared during Steam Next Fest.
Pattern Survivors Demo — Build Your Own Bullet Hell. The full release builds on that foundation with more content, refinements, and a dedicated soundtrack for players who like getting lost in a mix of patterns and electronic music.

Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell — Create Chaos

Release: October 31, 2025

Genre: Roguelike bullet hell, tower defense

Developer / Publisher: Airem / Airem

Platforms: PC — Steam, itch.io (PC & browser build)

Build your own bullet patterns, then survive them

At the core of Pattern Survivors is a fast, slider-based pattern editor. You place emitters around your cosmic tower and tune everything: direction, spread, speed, rotation, burst size, and more. With a few adjustments, you can turn a simple fan of bullets into a rotating halo, a screen-wide spiral, or a minefield that crawls slowly across the map. It’s part tower defense, part roguelike build-crafter, and part sandbox for people who enjoy tinkering under pressure.

Each run throws waves of “Patterns” at your tower from all sides. Survive and you unlock upgrades, new utilities, and fresh ways to layer emitters together. Between a story mode, survival runs, and a sandbox option for pure experimentation, it’s easy to drop in for a quick session or chase that “one more try” feeling deep into the night.

If you like the idea of taking control of the chaos instead of just dodging it, Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell — Create Chaos is worth a look. The demo on Steam is a good way to see if designing your own bullet hell clicks for you before you pick up the full game.
