Xbox Cloud Gaming Gets Monthly Limits in November
Microsoft will introduce monthly cloud gaming limits for Xbox Game Pass subscribers beginning in November 2026.
Game Pass Ultimate will include 15 hours of cloud gaming per month, Premium will include 10 hours, and Essential will include five hours.
Five hours across a 30-day month works out to an average of around 10 minutes per day for Essential members, although there is no daily restriction.

More Cloud Time Will Cost Extra
Xbox says players who reach their monthly limit will be able to purchase additional cloud playtime through the Xbox Store. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Microsoft says around 4% of Game Pass subscribers are expected to be affected by the limits.
Also beginning in November, players without Game Pass will be able to purchase cloud playtime to stream eligible games they already own.
For frequent cloud users, even Game Pass Ultimate will now include a maximum of 15 hours per month before additional time must be purchased.
