Macross Shooting Insight Launches February 7 on Consoles

Posted on February 6, 2025June 26, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Prepare for an interdimensional adventure as “MACROSS : Shooting Insight”  arrives on consoles this February 7, delivering a high-octane blend of classic shoot-em-up action and strategic music-driven gameplay. This newest title in the legendary MACROSS franchise brings together characters and iconic moments from five series — MACROSS Plus, MACROSS Zero, MACROSS 7, MACROSS Frontier, and MACROSS Delta — uniting fan-favorite pilots and songstresses in one explosive title.

An Interdimensional Collision of Legends

The story begins when a sudden wave of dimensional folds rips through space, pulling pilots and idols from across the MACROSS timeline into the Battle 7 fortress. Each of the six storylines delivers unique perspectives, letting players relive pivotal moments while fighting for the fate of the universe.

With a galaxy at stake, you’ll experience thrilling shootouts across multiple visual perspectives, shifting between horizontal, vertical, and 360-degree scrolling stages depending on the mission.

Shooting Action Meets Musical Strategy

At the heart of MACROSS has always been the power of music, and Shooting Insight takes that theme seriously. Players can synchronize with idols mid-mission to trigger enhancements like increased firepower, better mobility, or slowing enemy waves. Timing your buffs and building synergy with your chosen idol becomes key to survival and high scores.
