Nintendo has highlighted a packed October 2026 lineup for Nintendo Switch 2, with major RPGs, sports, shooters, and familiar block-building returning throughout the month.
An official Nintendo October 2026 roundup highlights several notable releases for Nintendo Switch 2, including KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III], Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and Minecraft.
For more background on the hardware itself, Fix Gaming Channel previously covered the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement and its larger-screen design.
KINGDOM HEARTS Collection Leads the Early October Releases
KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] arrives on October 8 for Nintendo Switch 2. The native release bundles three major collections, including KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind.
The official listing also confirms that owners of the previous cloud versions can receive a discount on the native Switch 2 versions, with save-transfer support available for eligible players.
RPGs, Rhythm Action, and Sports Fill the Middle of the Month
Order of the Sinking Star and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen are both listed for October 9 in Nintendo’s roundup, followed by rhythm-action roguelike Ratatan on October 15.
Later in the month, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings players back to Wuhu Island on October 22. Nintendo says the game includes 12 sports, motion-control activities, free-roaming island exploration, and an offline Island Crown mode.
Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, and Minecraft Close Out October
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is also scheduled for October 22 on both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch. Nintendo describes it as the first FINAL FANTASY title presented in an HD-2D style.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 follows later in the month in Nintendo’s regional roundup, while an enhanced version of Minecraft is listed for October 27 with support for Vibrant Visuals.
Release dates can vary by region, so players should check their local Nintendo eShop before purchasing or pre-ordering.
