A New Mission for Military Sim Fans

Originally acclaimed on PC, Carrier Deck is now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch as of June 5, 2025. Developed by South Africa’s indie studio Every Single Soldier and published for consoles by Ultimate Games S.A., Carrier Deck puts you in the hot seat as a deck officer aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), a nuclear-powered Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. If you love a mix of military simulation and time-critical management, this is a title you won’t want to miss.

From PC Classic to Console Debut

Carrier Deck first hit PC in 2017, quickly becoming a cult favorite among military sim enthusiasts for its realistic take on deck management under pressure. It’s earned “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, with nearly 1,000 player reviews and a strong community supporting ongoing updates and even requests for a sequel. With the 2025 console release, a whole new audience can step onto the deck for the first time.

Master the Deck—And the Clock

As a deck officer, your job is to keep flight operations running smoothly under the constant pressure of war. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing search, reconnaissance, and interception missions, as well as ground strikes and close air support. The key is making quick, strategic decisions—moving, refueling, maintaining, and arming each aircraft or helicopter at just the right moment to avoid disaster and maximize efficiency.

Aircraft, Features, and Game Modes

Carrier Deck isn’t just about shuffling planes around. You’ll coordinate a full roster of US Navy aircraft—including the F/A-18 Hornet, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, CH-47 Chinook, S-3 Viking, and more—each with their own quirks and requirements. The game offers:

Full Campaign Mode: Take on a series of complex missions across global conflict zones.

Skirmish Mode: Jump into fast-paced, randomized challenges for a quick adrenaline rush.

Dynamic Deck Operations: Prevent collisions, handle emergencies, and maintain tempo as the action heats up.

Why Carrier Deck Stands Out

If you’re into military sims or time management games, Carrier Deck hits a sweet spot rarely seen on consoles. Its blend of strategy, real-world pressure, and accessible gameplay make it both a challenge and a thrill. Steam players have long praised its addictive “one more mission” loop—and now, that experience is just as sharp on console.

PC Origins & What’s Next

Since its PC debut in 2017, Carrier Deck has been continually updated based on player feedback—adding new features, improved controls, and smarter mission queues. There’s already buzz about a possible Carrier Deck 2, but for now, this original remains the definitive digital flight deck experience.
