Posted on June 9, 2025June 28, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

A decade later, these genre-defining titles from 2015 are still shaping how we play and remember games.

2015 was a legendary year in gaming, packed with unforgettable experiences across genres. Now, in 2025, we look back at 10 standout titles that are officially turning 10—games that continue to be loved, played, and remembered.

Bloodborne

FromSoftware’s gothic action RPG set a new bar for atmospheric world-building and fast-paced, punishing combat. (Note: Bloodborne is a PlayStation exclusive and not available on Steam.)

Dying Light

A first-person open-world zombie survival game known for its dynamic parkour system and intense day-night cycle.

Life is Strange

A heartfelt episodic adventure about time travel, friendship, and consequence, starring photography student Max Caulfield.

Undertale

Toby Fox’s indie RPG became a cultural phenomenon, offering unique combat mechanics and the ability to befriend (or fight) every monster.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Set in Victorian London, Syndicate introduced twin protagonists Jacob and Evie Frye and a gang-based take on the classic AC formula.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The final installment in Rocksteady’s acclaimed Arkham trilogy, introducing the Batmobile as a playable feature in open-world Gotham.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III

A futuristic shooter with cybernetic enhancements, a multi-branching campaign, and the beloved Zombies mode.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse

For the first time, players could create their own custom Dragon Ball characters and travel through a reimagined timeline of battles.

Fallout 4

Set in a post-nuclear Boston, this RPG gave players an open-world to explore, build, and fight through in search of their missing son.

Halo 5: Guardians

Continuing the sci-fi saga, Halo 5 introduced a new Spartan fireteam and large-scale multiplayer modes. (Note: Halo 5 is exclusive to Xbox One and not available on Steam or PC.)

These 10 titles defined an era and helped shape the gaming landscape we enjoy today. Whether you’re replaying them or discovering them for the first time, 2025 is the perfect year to celebrate their legacy.
