Players exploring a fog-covered base during daytime in MISTERY

Mistery a New Dawn of Deception and Survival

Posted on January 21, 2025July 8, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Released today on January 21, 2025, MISTERY introduces a multiplayer experience where survival is only half the story. Set in a fog-drenched, crumbling complex, players must navigate an atmosphere of paranoia, danger, and betrayal. Developed in the spirit of titles like Dread Hunger and Project Winter, MISTERY brings an enhanced survival horror formula to life—one where your allies might not be who they claim to be.

Daylight Cooperation, Nightfall Terror

In sessions of up to nine players, the daytime loop in MISTERY focuses on gathering resources, crafting weapons, and finding essential batteries that power the base’s defenses. But as night falls, the shadows bring monstrous threats that force players to rely on one another—or turn on each other.

Not All Monsters Roam Outside

The core tension of MISTERY stems from its social deception mechanic. Some players may secretly be disguised beasts or anomalies, hiding in plain sight. This design ensures that no one can be fully trusted, and every alliance could be fatal. Suspicion becomes a weapon, forcing players to think critically about every move, word, and gesture.

Choose Your Hero, Define the Outcome

Players can select from over ten unique heroes, each offering a distinct skillset that can shift the direction of gameplay. Whether choosing the brute force of the Gunner or the tactical edge of the Spy, every character adds strategic layers and unpredictability to each match.

Environmental Strategy and Deadly Tools

To survive, players must master more than just character roles. Surveillance monitors, electric traps, safeboxes filled with resources, and an arsenal of medicine, bullets, and crafted weapons all contribute to a complex, evolving battlefield. Victory may come through teamwork—or ruthless betrayal.
