Jelly Bubble turns soap and color into multiplayer chaos
Jelly Bubble is our latest Indie Gem of the Day, combining colorful creatures, strange soap powers, and an attraction-and-repulsion mechanic built around changing colors.
Jelly Bubble gets to the point quickly. Players enter compact arenas, collect soap, collide inside bubbles, and try to carry what they have gathered back to the scoring point before another player takes it away.
Its central idea is simple: matching colors attract, while different colors repel. Players can change colors during a match, using the system to approach opponents, escape danger, steal soap, or push rivals away.
That distinctive mechanic makes the game a natural fit for our Indie Gem of the Day coverage. You can also read about Delverium, another recent indie game that caught our attention.
The gameplay video below shows the soap-collecting objective, bubble combat, color changes, and multiplayer arenas in action.

Soap powers the match
Players collect soap from around the arena, steal it from opponents, and attempt to return it to the scoring point.
Collecting more soap increases the character’s size and strengthens its abilities. The player carrying the most soap can also become the main target as everyone competes for the same resources.
Soap can do more than increase strength. Different types can blast opponents away, swap player positions, or help someone escape at the last moment.
Jelly Bubble includes more than 20 soap types, giving each match several possible combinations of powers and effects.

The colors control every collision
The attraction-and-repulsion system is the main hook behind the bubble combat.
Matching colors attract each other. This allows players to close the distance, steal resources, or absorb an opponent. Different colors repel, creating opportunities to push rivals away or escape an attack.
Players can switch colors during a match, so the result of a collision can change in seconds. Approaching another bubble with a matching color may help secure more soap, while changing to a different color can send the same opponent bouncing away.
The rule is easy to explain, but it gives the constant movement a clear purpose. Players need to watch the colors around them while deciding when to attack, escape, or head toward the scoring point.

Local play, online matches, and custom arenas
Jelly Bubble supports up to six players online and two to four players through local multiplayer.
The game includes competitive and cooperative modes, along with customization options and mix-and-match outfits for the jelly creatures.
Players can also use the included map editor to create their own arenas. Available objects include trampolines, platforms, and speed boosts, allowing custom maps to be built around combat, racing, or complete chaos.
Once finished, custom arenas can be shared and played with friends.
Why it is our Indie Gem of the Day
Jelly Bubble earns its Indie Gem of the Day spot because it has a central mechanic that is simple, memorable, and easy to recognize.
Collecting soap provides the objective, while attraction and repulsion decide how players approach one another. The colorful characters and busy arenas turn that rule into fast multiplayer chaos.
With local and online play, more than 20 soap effects, several modes, customization, and a map editor, there are plenty of ways for one straightforward idea to create very different matches.
