Cash Cleaner Simulator

Cash Cleaner Simulator Hits 100,000 Sales on Steam

Posted on May 16, 2025May 16, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Indie developers prove that scrubbing stacks of cash can be both satisfying and successful
Cash Cleaner Simulator has officially sold over 100,000 units on Steam — a major milestone for this offbeat simulation title. The game launched with over 42,000 wishlists, most of which were built up over a focused six-month pre-release campaign. That strategy clearly paid off.

Now sitting at more than 1,400 user reviews and holding a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, it’s safe to say the game has struck a nerve with sim fans.

Cash Cleaner Simulator

Release Date: May 8, 2025

Genre: Simulation, Casual

Developer/Publisher: The Moon Pirates

Platforms: PC (Steam)

Clean Game. Dirty Money.
On paper, it’s a weird idea — laundering cash, literally. But that’s what makes it stand out. You’re not fighting zombies or building cities; you’re in a dingy backroom, soaking, drying, and stacking bundles of money. And players love it.

It taps into that same niche satisfaction as games like PowerWash Simulator or House Flipper. The loop is simple but effective: work through grime, get the reward, and watch your space and workflow improve over time.

A Case Study in Pre-Launch Hype
The game’s momentum wasn’t luck. Building over 40k wishlists before launch takes work — and smart outreach. Steam visibility thrives on early interest, and Cash Cleaner Simulator is a prime example of how that translates into real-world sales.

As indie devs continue to battle for attention in an overcrowded marketplace, this is one of those rare success stories that other teams should probably study.
