Reddit’s Updated Terms Take Effect on July 1, 2026
Reddit has updated its Privacy Policy and User Agreement, with the new terms set to take effect on July 1, 2026. The changes include clearer privacy-rights information for users in the United States, the EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.
For UK users, Reddit has also updated its User Agreement to state that the service entity is now Reddit, Inc. Reddit says the wider changes are meant to make both documents clearer and easier to understand.
For gamers, developers, and online communities, the update is worth noting because Reddit remains one of the biggest public spaces for gaming discussion, feedback, leaks, marketing, modding, and player reactions. It is also a reminder that many online discussions happen in public spaces where posts, comments, profiles, and community activity can be visible outside the platform.
Users who continue using Reddit after July 1, 2026, will be agreeing to the updated terms.
