Transform Chaos into Control in This Sin-Fueled Strategy Game
The underworld is yours to govern—but only if you can survive it. The HELL: City Builder of the Dead, developed and published by Metropolice, is now in active playtesting on Steam ahead of its Early Access launch in October 2025. Unlike anything in the genre, this city builder blends historical tragedy, demonic forces, and strategic resource management into one hellish experience.
A City Builder Forged in Sin
In The HELL, players take command of an infernal city, managing the arrival of souls from real-world catastrophes like the Great Kanto Earthquake and the eruption of Krakatoa. These souls must be processed into Sinners—your labor force—and kept under control as you expand, upgrade, and defend your city from both internal unrest and external threats.
The game’s tone is unapologetically dark, with every map representing one of the seven deadly sins. Players must issue Decrees, balance four critical resources (Blood, Waste, Cries, and Fears), and enact difficult moral choices to maintain control. Failures are part of the cycle—but each collapse brings new insight, encouraging experimentation and mastery.
Join the Steam Playtest and Shape Hell
The HELL: City Builder of the Dead is now available through a limited-time playtest on Steam. This is a rare chance to explore the game early and help guide its development. By participating, players can provide direct feedback on mechanics, pacing, balance, and difficulty—giving shape to how Hell evolves before its official release.
Whether you’re drawn in by the lore, the grim worldbuilding, or the challenge of managing an unstable, soul-filled domain, your time spent during the playtest will help refine what this game becomes.
