Posted on June 26, 2024August 19, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

DROS Coming to Nintendo Switch This July

RedDeer.Games and emergeWorlds have officially announced the release date for their upcoming dark-fantasy puzzle platformer, DROS. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on July 12, blending nostalgic 1980s fantasy film vibes with inventive gameplay and striking art styles.

A Tale of Two Heroes

Players will embark on an adventure with two unlikely companions: Captain, a veteran bounty hunter, and Little Dros, a magical alchemical slime. Together, they must climb the ominous Alchemist’s Tower, also known as the Machine, solving puzzles, facing enemies, and uncovering secrets to stop the evil Alchemist’s schemes.

Unique Art Style and Gameplay

DROS offers a distinctive blend of visuals, combining detailed dioramas, 3D chibi-style sprites, and hand-drawn portraits that give each character life. Players will switch between Captain and Little Dros, using their complementary skills to overcome steampunk-inspired puzzles and progress through the tower.

Meet Allies and Enemies

Along their journey, the duo will encounter a variety of characters, from the friendly alchemist Enki to other dros with their own unique agendas. Every step up the tower introduces new challenges and story elements, making for an engaging experience.
