Epic Games Store Mobile Expansion New Opportunities and Freebies for Gamers

Posted on February 1, 2025November 11, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Epic brings its store to Android worldwide and to iPhone/iPad across the EU — with weekly free games, Epic Rewards, and cross-platform progression

The Epic Games Store’s mobile rollout is no longer theory—it’s here. On Android (global) and iOS/iPadOS (EU), players can install the Epic Games Store app and start claiming weekly freebies, with progress tied to their Epic account across platforms. For devs, Epic’s mobile terms mirror the PC store, which should help bring more titles to phones over time. If you’re building or marketing a game yourself, you might also find our Indie Dev Guides useful.

Mobile storefronts are evolving fast (see our note on Steam’s wider store layouts). Epic’s move puts PC-style perks—free games, cross-progression, and loyalty rewards—right on your phone.

Cross-platform play & where it’s available

Availability: Android worldwide; iPhone/iPad in the European Union for now, with plans to expand as other regions allow third-party app stores. Account & progress: Log in with your Epic account and keep your progression synced between mobile and other platforms in supported games. Starter lineup: Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe lead the way, with third-party titles joining the mobile store.

Freebies, rewards & why it matters

Weekly free games: Epic’s long-running giveaway program is active on mobile, letting you claim new titles/content on a regular cadence. Epic Rewards: There’s a time-limited “MEGA Boost” offering 20% back in rewards on eligible purchases across PC, iOS, Android, and web (check the terms in-app).

Exclusives & third-party support

Like the PC store, some exclusives will appear on the mobile app. Epic is also onboarding third-party games to its mobile storefront and says its dev terms on mobile match the familiar 88/12 revenue share (with additional incentives under specific programs). The aim is simple: make mobile a first-class home for more “PC-style” games and services.

What to watch next

  • Regional expansion: Epic indicates more countries could open up as regulations allow third-party stores on iOS.
  • Giveaway cadence: The program is now weekly on mobile—expect a steady rhythm of claims for your library.
  • More third-party titles: Self-publishing for mobile is rolling out; the catalog should broaden over time.

What do you think—will you install the Epic Games Store on your phone to claim the weekly freebies? Tell us below, and we’ll keep tabs on regional availability and standout drops.
