6 Best Zombie Mobile Games to Play in 2026

Posted on October 10, 2026 By Robelle Veligano

From frantic shooters to slow-burn survival, these mobile zombie games still have life in them

Zombie games on mobile cover far more than tapping through waves of the undead. In 2026, you can still find first-person shooters, survival crafting, tactical RPGs, and large-scale strategy games on both Android and iOS.

This list focuses on games that are currently available and still receiving updates or maintaining active store listings. It is not a ranking based on spending power, and several of these games include ads or in-app purchases. If you want something more general, Fix Gaming Channel also has a broader guide to the best mobile games to play in 2026.

1. Into the Dead 2 — best for story-driven zombie shooting

Into the Dead 2 mixes forward-running action with shooting, weapon upgrades, and a campaign built around rescuing your family. The current Into the Dead 2: Zombie Killer Google Play listing describes seven chapters, dozens of stages, multiple endings, and offline campaign play.

It is a good choice if you want short sessions with a clear story rather than a base-building loop. The standard version is free-to-play with in-app purchases, while Netflix members can also access Into the Dead 2: Unleashed.

2. Dead Trigger 2 — best for classic mobile FPS action

Dead Trigger 2 remains one of the easiest recommendations for players who mainly want to point a gun at zombies and get moving. The DEAD TRIGGER 2: Zombie Games App Store listing highlights a personal hideout, 10 regions, 33 battlefields, hundreds of scenarios, and a large weapon selection.

The game is still being updated in 2026 on Android, where the Dead Trigger 2 FPS Zombie Game Google Play listing was updated in September. If you prefer FPS games generally, see our 10 best mobile FPS games to play in 2026.

3. Last Day on Earth: Survival — best for crafting and base building

Last Day on Earth: Survival slows the pace down and puts more weight on scavenging, crafting, shelter upgrades, and long-term survival. The Last Day on Earth: Survival App Store listing describes resource gathering, house building, clothing, weapons, and vehicles as core parts of progression.

Its Last Day on Earth: Survival Google Play listing also details pets, vehicles, bunkers, farms, ports, and a separate multiplayer area called The Crater. A stable internet connection is required.

4. Resident Evil Survival Unit — best for franchise fans who want strategy

Resident Evil Survival Unit is not a traditional survival-horror game like the mainline console entries. It is a mobile strategy game built around base management, survivor deployment, and recognizable characters from the series.

The Resident Evil Survival Unit App Store listing names characters including Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine, while the Google Play listing shows the game continuing to receive new modes, heroes, bosses, and balance updates in 2026.

5. The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land — best for tactical RPG fans

The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land combines tactical combat, survivor management, and base building with characters and locations connected to The Walking Dead.

According to the The Walking Dead No Man’s Land App Store listing, the game continues to add heroes and story content. The Google Play listing also describes it as a strategy-focused zombie survival RPG with ongoing content.

6. Doomsday: Last Survivors — best for large-scale 4X strategy

If your idea of surviving zombies involves managing troops, defending a shelter, and competing with other players, Doomsday: Last Survivors is the most strategy-heavy pick here.

The current Doomsday: Last Survivors Google Play listing describes it as a 4X strategy game with multiplayer, hero recruitment, shelter defense, and zombie combat. It was still receiving updates and crossover content in September 2026.

Which zombie mobile game should you start with?

For straightforward shooting, start with Dead Trigger 2. For a more story-focused action game, Into the Dead 2 is the stronger fit. Players who enjoy crafting and long-term progression should look at Last Day on Earth: Survival, while strategy fans have three very different options in Resident Evil Survival Unit, The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land, and Doomsday: Last Survivors.

Mobile horror has become broad enough that “zombie game” can now mean an FPS, RPG, survival sandbox, or 4X strategy title. If you want more horror-focused recommendations beyond zombies, check our best horror games on iPhone and Android.
