The latest offering from the creators of the bestselling Thief Simulator 2 is here—Crime Simulator. This stealth-crime game has just launched its demo, available now for PC gamers, featuring single-player and online co-op modes at no cost. Developed by CookieDev, the Polish studio known for their engaging gameplay, and published by Ultimate Games S.A., Crime Simulator promises a full release on PC in late 2025, with a console debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 slated for 2026.

Engaging Gameplay and Dynamic Co-op Features

Crime Simulator plunges players into a first-person underworld adventure, playable solo or with up to 4 players in online co-op. The game’s core involves executing various thieving and bandit-style missions. Players will find themselves developing skills, upgrading their equipment, and managing their reputation and hideouts. Stealth is essential in this action simulator, with careful planning needed as open combat is reserved as a last resort.

Varied Missions with Rich Mechanics

Beyond simple theft, Crime Simulator tasks players with missions that include destroying targets or secretly planting items, incorporating mechanics that fans admired in Thief Simulator 2. This adds layers of strategy and depth to the gameplay, ensuring a captivating experience.

The demo version on Steam introduces players to Crime Simulator’s intricate world. It includes a map with five houses and supports both single-player and co-op modes for up to three players. Initial tools like lockpicks, crowbars, and baseball bats are available, with promises of more advanced gadgets like drones and scanners in the full release, alongside more maps, challenges, and extensive content.

  • Make a career in the criminal underworld;
  • execute orders and gain fame;
  • Act alone or in cooperation (up to 4 criminals);
  • Use a wide arsenal of weapons;
  • collect raw materials and create equipment.

The game is tentatively scheduled for release on PC (Steam) in 2024/2025. Crime Simulator will later also hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
