PAX West is here, and we are heading straight for the indies
Fix Gaming Channel is heading to PAX West 2026 in Seattle, with indie demos, PAX Rising and conversations with the developers behind the games at the center of our coverage.
PAX West 2026 runs from September 4–7 at the Seattle Convention Center, bringing publishers, studios, developers and players together for four days of demos, panels and gaming.
I was lucky enough to receive a press pass for this year’s event. As a Washington native, I am grateful for the opportunity to head back to PAX, this time representing Fix Gaming Channel and looking for the independent games that deserve more attention.
That fits closely with what we already do. Whether it is our indie games to watch, our coverage from events such as gamescom asia, or the smaller projects we find throughout the year, we want to be there while these games are still fighting to be seen.

PAX Rising and the Expo Hall
The Expo Hall is where I will be spending much of my time. Alongside the larger publishers and studios, PAX West gives independent developers space to put their games directly in front of players.
A big part of that is the PAX Rising Showcase, a curated collection of indie games selected for the show floor. For smaller teams, an event like this can mean real hands-on feedback, new wishlists, press attention and the chance to talk directly with the people playing their work.
The indie games on my radar
There is a lot to see, but I will be keeping an eye on games including WOLFHOUND, Lazy River, Another Pint and whatever else catches my attention while moving through the convention center.
WOLFHOUND and Lazy River are both part of this year’s PAX Rising lineup, making them obvious stops, but part of the fun of an event this large is finding something you were not already looking for.
We recently picked our 10 best indie reveals from Gamescom 2026. Now I get the chance to see what PAX West puts in front of me in person.
Talking directly with the developers
The demos are only part of why I am going. I will also have opportunities to speak directly with some of the teams and solo developers behind these games.
Those conversations are something Fix Gaming Channel has always valued. Our interviews are about the people making games, how they work, what they have struggled with and what brought their projects to this point.
A convention floor gives us the chance to bring some of those stories back with the games themselves.
See you at PAX
I am excited to cover PAX West 2026 for Fix Gaming Channel. Expect indie discoveries, hands-on impressions, developer conversations and whatever else I find while walking the floor.
See you at PAX.
