Game of the Week #20 — Shape of Dreams title art with calendar badge “20” and armored hero, Fix Gaming Channel

Game of the Week #20: Shape of Dreams is Out Now on Steam

Posted on September 11, 2025May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Game of the Week #20 — Shape of Dreams is out now — rock-solid, wildly replayable, and a real GOTY contender

NEOWIZ and Lizard Smoothie land a confident 1.0 with Shape of Dreams—a fast, MOBA-inspired action roguelite built around clean skill-shot combat, real co-op synergy, and the kind of “one more run” loop that sneaks up on you. I’ve played it (see my super-ultrawide gameplay below and the August 29 article) and it’s the easiest weekly pick I’ve made in a while.

Earlier Fix Gaming Channel coverage: Shape of Dreams launches September 11.

Shape of Dreams

Release: Available now (launched September 11, 2025)

Genre: Action roguelite (MOBA-inspired)

Developer / Publisher: Lizard Smoothie / NEOWIZ

Platforms: PC (Steam)

Why it’s our GOTW

  • Rock-solid feel: Responsive dodges, sharp hit feedback, and clean readability. It just plays right.
  • Co-op that actually sings: Roles emerge naturally—carry, control, support—and builds genuinely complement each other.
  • Replay that earns it: Eight Travelers, handcrafted biomes, and modifiers that push you into new routes without wasting your time.
  • High-ceiling builds: Memories + Essences stack into real “break the game” moments that feel earned, not random.

From my August 29 hands-on

“This isn’t the type of game I usually play, but I gave it a go — and one word kept coming back: addictive. The gameplay loop is fast, fun, and hard to put down… That demo alone can keep you entertained for hours, with enough build variety to make every attempt feel fresh.”

Back then, Steam already showed Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. Today at launch, it feels like the start of something bigger—proof that a small team with vision and support from NEOWIZ can compete with the heavyweights.

Launch update — available now on Steam

Price: $24.99 USD  |  Launch discount: 20% off through Wednesday, September 24, 2025 (regional pricing applies).

Early-bird event: Log in to receive the Ethereal Forest Hound commemorative item. Limited-time banner: Defeat bosses eight times to unlock.

Bundles: Two Steam bundles—Rock and Dream (with Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor) and Dream of Snow (with Warm Snow)—stack an extra 10% off on top of the launch discount.

Starter tips

  • Open with a bruiser/tank Traveler to learn dodge windows and control chains.
  • Commit to one synergy (core Memory + Essences) instead of scattering small perks.
  • In co-op, set roles early so a carry can scale while control/support manage stuns, shields, and heals.
