eXoSpace: Combat Engineer title card—“Coming September 2025 to Steam” over a planet backdrop

Physics-driven space battles: eXoSpace: Combat Engineer releases Sept 15

Posted on September 8, 2025January 23, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

DIY starships, roguelike jumps, and physics-driven battles — eXoSpace: Combat Engineer launches September 15 with a 15% discount

eXoSpace: Combat Engineer is a combat-focused spaceship builder from solo developer Fantastimaker. It lands on September 15, 2025 at 7:00 UTC on PC via Steam for $18.99 with a 15% launch discount. The idea is simple and sharp: build the ship you want, jump into randomized events, and fight your way to a bounty boss in crunchy, physics-driven combat.

eXoSpace: Combat Engineer

Release: September 15, 2025 — 7:00 UTC

Genre: Spaceship builder, roguelike, sandbox

Developer/Publisher: Fantastimaker

Platforms: PC (Steam) — Demo also on Itch.io

What it is

Build without a grid. Snap parts at any angle. Add moving components like pistons and rotators to shape oddball fighters or hulking rams. Battles are real-time and physics-based—placement, weight, and momentum matter. Between encounters, hyperjumps throw you into randomized events: maybe you aid a station, raid a convoy, or gamble for better loot.

Why it stands out

  • Gridless ship building with free-angle placement and mechanical parts for truly custom craft.
  • Physics combat that tears ships apart module by module—ramming and “biting” are valid tactics.
  • Roguelike runs with randomized missions and event choices each jump. Sandbox mode when you just want to build and stage massive battles.
  • Modding + Steam Workshop support for new parts, ship AI scripts, and more.
