Mars Attracts: A Unique Spin on Theme Park Management Coming to Steam in Early Access

Posted on August 22, 2024January 27, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Build the ultimate Martian theme park in the Mars Attacks universe

Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience as Mars Attracts, a new theme park management sim set in the quirky universe of Mars Attacks™, prepares to land on Steam in Early Access in 2025. Developed and published by Outlier, the game invites players to step into the shoes of a Martian park operator tasked with crafting the ultimate intergalactic amusement park.

Game Overview

Mars Attracts is not your typical management sim. Here, you will build rides, manage Martian guest needs, and, most intriguingly, abduct humans to serve as the park’s main attractions.  This unique twist adds a layer of strategy as you balance the needs of your Martian visitors with the welfare of your human exhibits, who are very prone to attempting escapes from their enclosures if neglected.

As a Martian CEO, you will juggle construction, staff management, research, and finances while keeping both your alien guests and human captives under control. Build the perfect red-planet tourist trap, complete with human enclosures, rides, amenities, and all the twisted experiments your Martian audience could ask for.

Key Features

  • Official Mars Attacks™ universe: Run a theme park on Mars inspired by the classic trading cards and their over-the-top sci-fi humor.
  • Human abduction and enclosures: Send Martian ships across time to capture humans from eras like Ancient Rome and the Wild West, then design themed habitats to keep them mostly content and contained.
  • Deep park management: Build rides and attractions, manage staff, control utilities, and keep guests and “specimens” happy to grow your Martian entertainment empire.
  • Darkly comic experiments: Study humanity in their “natural habitat,” or push them to the limit with experiments that generate research resources and unlock new attractions, amenities, and upgrades.
  • Needs-driven AI: Complex guest and staff behavior systems drive how Martians and humans react to your decisions, creating chain reactions when things go wrong (or horribly right).
  • Campaign and sandbox potential: Tackle missions that guide you through building profitable parks while leaving plenty of room for creative, chaotic layouts.

Languages and Accessibility

Mars Attracts will be accessible in several languages, including English, Simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, with full interface and subtitles support, helping a wide range of players enjoy their Martian management career.
