BlazBlue Entropy Effect anniversary update and 2025 roadmap showcase new characters, Endless Mode, and global mobile release.

Blazblue Entropy Effect Surpasses 1 Million Sales Celebrates With Discounts and Exciting Roadmap Updates

BlazBlue Entropy Effect Surpasses 1 Million Sales with Anniversary Update

The team at 91Act has reason to celebrate—BlazBlue Entropy Effect, their character-based action roguelite, has now sold over 1 million copies. This milestone comes right as the game marks its first anniversary, launching its biggest update yet and outlining bold new plans for 2025.

One Million Copies and Growing

Since launch, the game’s active player base has surged, with peaks now five to six times higher than usual—72% above its 1.0 launch numbers. It’s proof that the roguelite action formula, combined with the BlazBlue brand, has struck a chord with fans. The anniversary update added a new boss, crossover levels featuring ICEY from FantaBlade Network, and a brand-new DLC character, Hazama.

2025 Roadmap: New Characters, Endless Mode, and Mobile

91Act is keeping the momentum going with an updated roadmap. Players can expect:

  • New characters and bosses
  • An Endless Mode for hardcore fans
  • Additional language support
  • A long-awaited global mobile release
  • A mysterious crossover event and more surprises

With over a million downloads already in China on Android and iOS, the global mobile launch could dramatically expand the player base.

Community and Developer Resilience

In a heartfelt statement, Michael Jiang, CEO of 91Act, reflected on the game’s journey: “An incredible team of developers and an enthusiastic community brought us from the brink of closure to this point. It is wonderful to see the hard work and passion of our team recognized and celebrated in such a way. We’re excited for what the future holds for Entropy Effect as it continues to blossom.”

That perseverance has paid off. A 94% “Very Positive” Steam rating from more than 24,000 reviews shows that fans are equally invested in the game’s future.

A Spin-Off That Stands Tall

As a spin-off of the iconic BlazBlue fighting series, Entropy Effect fuses flashy combat with roguelite progression and an original side-scrolling storyline. Familiar characters like Ragna the Bloodedge and Noel Vermillion bring fan service, while newcomers like Hazama expand the universe in fresh directions. It’s this balance of nostalgia and innovation that has carried the title to over a million sales worldwide.
