Brass Rain Shows Off Authentic WWII Combat in New Gameplay Trailer

Yarnhub’s fan-funded WWII MMOFPS lines up a new contender in the co-op battlefield space

Brass Rain, the latest addition to the World War II shooter genre, is looking to deliver an authentic co-op combat experience when it launches in 2026. Developed and published by Yarnhub Animation Studios, the game aims to recreate real-world locations, equipment, and tactics — and, according to the studio, knowing your history will give you a genuine edge on the battlefield.

In the newly revealed gameplay trailer, players are shown battling across several theatres of war — from the blood-soaked beaches of Normandy to the flak-filled skies of the Pacific. You can choose your side and fight as infantry, tank crew, bomber squadron, or naval gunner in both PvP and PvE combat modes.

It’s been a while since War Thunder had a serious new contender, but Yarnhub appears ready for the challenge — its recent community-backed funding round has brought in an impressive $2.9 million from more than 5,000 supporters, giving the studio real momentum heading into development. If you’re into more grounded World War II strategy and combined-arms warfare, you can also check out our Men of War II review for a deep-dive into modern large-scale tactics on PC.

For fans missing the iconic ping of an M1 Garand and hungry for large-scale, historically grounded multiplayer action, Brass Rain could be one to watch.
