Priest Simulator Vampire Show Exits Early Access With High Praise and New Dlc

Posted on December 6, 2024July 1, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

December 5, 2024 – Priest Simulator: Vampire Show, the wildly unpredictable action game by Polish studio Asmodev, is now officially out of Early Access. Published by Ultimate Games S.A., this title has made a strong impression with a 96% positive review score on Steam. It’s fast, weird, chaotic, and fans love it.

A Genre-Mixing Experience That Refuses to Be Normal

Priest Simulator: Vampire Show throws everything at the wall—and somehow, it all sticks. The game mixes sandbox shooting, hack-and-slash action, simulation, mockumentary elements, vehicle racing, and even church renovation into one loud, irreverent package.

If that sounds chaotic, it’s because it is—but that’s exactly what makes it work. The tone has drawn comparisons to South Park for its humor, Postal for its gameplay, and No More Heroes for its sheer style. The result is a game that embraces its madness and keeps players entertained throughout.

What Do You Actually Do in the Game?

You play as Orlok, a vampire who ends up in the priesthood in a cursed village called San de Ville. As Orlok, you’ll perform exorcisms, fight bizarre enemies, drive like a maniac, and fix up rundown churches—all while trying to hold on to what’s left of your unholy soul.

It’s part shooter, part simulator, and part fever dream. But beneath the madness, the game offers deep mechanics and surprising layers that reward exploration and experimentation.

Leaving Early Access With a 96% Positive Rating

After spending time in Early Access, the game has been refined and improved based on feedback from the community. The developers at Asmodev took player suggestions seriously, leading to a smoother, more expansive experience.

As of launch, the game holds a 96% positive rating on Steam. That’s no small feat for an indie title that leans this heavily into offbeat humor and chaotic gameplay. Clearly, players are having a great time with it.

New DLC: Her Ghost

To coincide with the full release, Asmodev also launched a brand-new DLC titled Her Ghost. While full details are still rolling out, it continues the weird and wonderful storyline with new content and gameplay layers. It’s the first of what could be several expansions down the line, showing the studio’s commitment to keeping things fresh post-launch.
