Fix Gaming Channel’s Game of the Week #8: God of Weapons

Posted on June 17, 2025June 25, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl
Welcome to Fix Gaming Channel’s Game of the Week. After highlighting the deeply atmospheric *Cronos: The New Dawn* last week, we shift focus to a game that’s all about chaos, survival, and strategic loadouts.

The God of Weapons Xbox release brings this highly praised PC roguelike to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by indie studio Archmage Labs, this dark fantasy survival title earned an 85% positive rating on Steam and is now ready to challenge console players across the globe.

God of Weapons is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, following its successful PC launch in 2023. Developed by Archmage Labs, a small indie team based in Vietnam, the game quickly earned an 85% positive rating on Steam from over 4,000 player reviews.

A Survival Game That Demands Smart Play

God of Weapons throws players into procedurally generated arenas where they must survive increasingly intense monster swarms. Combat is automatic—your character attacks on their own—but that’s where the simplicity ends. What sets this game apart is how you dodge, position, and build a loadout using limited inventory space.

Each run is different. Random loot drops, evolving enemy types, and gear upgrades make every session a new challenge. You’re not just surviving—you’re optimizing. And when it works, it feels incredibly rewarding.

The aesthetic is dark, with a hint of gothic flair. The game’s tone is serious, but the action is fast, fluid, and addictive.

Why It’s Our Pick

  • Now on console – The Xbox release opens the game to a brand-new audience.
  • Indie quality – Built by a small studio that proves what sharp design and passion can accomplish.
  • Replayability – Procedural levels and randomized gear keep the gameplay loop fresh.
  • Strategic depth – Limited inventory forces you to make tough but satisfying decisions.
