Eternia returns in February, with a Power Sword replica for collectors
By the power of Grayskull! He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction finally has a new release date: February 4, 2027. Developed by Bitmap Bureau in collaboration with Mattel, the retro 2D brawler brings the world of the original animated series back to gaming.
We covered its earlier April 2026 release date, which was later postponed. The October 12 announcement from Clear River Games and Limited Run Games confirms the February launch and reveals physical editions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A return to the cartoon’s Eternia
Players can fight as He-Man, Teela, or Man-At-Arms, with She-Ra unlockable for later playthroughs. The game features two-player local co-op, a rideable Battle Cat, and familiar foes including Skeletor and Evil-Lyn. It also appeared in our Pixel Arcadia showcase coverage.
I grew up with He-Man and collected the figures, but I lost them and many other childhood treasures in a fire when I was younger. Seeing Eternia return like this brings back a lot of memories.
