Pixel Arcadia’s debut brings back Terranigma, Alien Breed and more
Pixel Arcadia has wrapped its first showcase with more than 50 retro and retro-inspired games, including the return of Terranigma, a surprise launch for Blaster Bug, and a new Alien Breed collection.
The new retro-focused event aired on August 24, two months after we first covered the announcement of Pixel Arcadia.

Terranigma returns in 2027
The biggest reveal was the return of Terranigma. Licensed by Square Enix and published by Clear River Games, the Quintet action RPG is coming to modern platforms in 2027, with several members of the original development team supporting the project.
Dotemu also revealed Blaster Bug, an eight-player couch multiplayer arcade game inspired by classics such as Bomberman. The game was released immediately and is free to play.
Alien Breed returns with a six-game collection
Alien Breed 35th Anniversary was another world premiere, bringing six games together with modernised controls, online co-op, rush and horde modes, and additional historical content.
Other premieres included Ninja JaJaMaru – Yokai Night Parade, Infested DX, Sanitarium Enhanced, Theocracy, and Ninja Baseball League Man: Bases Loaded.
Pixel Arcadia also showed new footage from titles including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction, Petal Runner, Toxic Crusaders, and Phantom Gear. The full showcase is now available to watch on demand.
