The Spell Brigade key art showing wizards battling monsters in a magical bullet hell

Join the Spell Brigade at Steam Next Fest

Posted on May 30, 2024August 12, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Bolt Blaster Games is thrilled to announce the release of their first demo for The Spell Brigade. From June 10th to June 17th, players can experience firsthand the team-based objectives, unlock new upgrades, and create overpowered spell synergies at Steam Next Fest. Friend or foe, no one is safe in this friendly fire bullet hell!

A Chaotic Co-op Survivors-like Experience

The Spell Brigade is an online co-op survivors-like game for 1-4 players. With the added twist of friendly fire, you’ll need to keep an eye on your friends as much as on your foes. In the chaos of battle, you might not even know what hit you!

Key Features

Survivors-like Gameplay with Multiplayer Madness: Fight thousands of bizarre monsters together, complete missions, and upgrade spells as a team. Survival is a group effort!

Team-Based Combat: Assemble your Brigade and traverse the mystical warpath together. Even if you occasionally step on each other’s toes, sorcery and friendship can bring you back from the brink.

Dynamic Spell System: Discover, upgrade, and fuse spells with elemental power. With multiple wizards per squad, expect endless build variations and unhinged magical chaos.

About Bolt Blaster Games

Founded in 2020 in Belgium, Bolt Blaster Games is a small but passionate six-person indie studio. Their debut title, GAZZLERS (2023), was a wild VR roguelite shooter filled with colorful chaos. After learning valuable lessons in post-launch community engagement, the team is pushing their creativity further with The Spell Brigade, aiming to deliver fun, replayable, and community-driven gameplay experiences.
