[⚠️ Suspicious Content] Thief Simulator 2 key art featuring main character in stealth gear and masked figure, Xbox Series X|S release

Thief Simulator 2 Set to Launch on Xbox Series Xs on August 14

Posted on August 14, 2024May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

The wait is over—Thief Simulator 2 officially lands on Xbox Series X|S today, August 14, 2024. Developed by the Polish indie teams at CookieDev and Ultimate Games S.A., this stealth-driven sim has already made waves on PC and PlayStation 5—and now it’s ready to sneak its way into the Xbox community.

Expanding the World of Crime and Strategy

Thief Simulator 2 takes everything players loved from the original game and improves upon it with deeper systems, larger environments, and more daring heists. The game blends first-person stealth mechanics with simulator elements and a dash of action, letting you choose between story mode and free play to build your criminal career.

The Steam version received over 90% positive reviews from more than 3,700 players, praising its engaging mechanics and upgrade over the first entry. Players can expect around 20 hours of gameplay packed with tension, strategy, and rewards for clever planning.

New Tools, Bigger Targets

This time around, you’ll do more than just sneak into suburban homes. High-security banks, luxury villas, and other challenging environments are now open for looting. Use everything from old-school crowbars to futuristic drones and hacking kits to get the job done—and get out clean.

Careful planning is essential, as police patrols, surveillance cameras, and even helicopters can quickly turn a simple job into a high-speed escape.

Stay One Step Ahead

In Thief Simulator 2, it’s not just about what you steal—it’s how you plan your exit. The core loop rewards caution, scouting, and strategic theft. Tools can be upgraded, new skills unlocked, and jobs approached from different angles. Choose your loot carefully, plan escape routes, and always watch the clock.

Coming Soon to Nintendo Switch

A handheld version of the game is also in development, bringing the full stealth experience to Nintendo Switch users. It’s not yet dated, but it’s confirmed to arrive in the near future.

More Stealth, More Strategy
