Shape of Dreams update v1.2 promotional artwork highlighting Shape Your Next Run and Discover Now

Shape of Dreams v1.2 adds Traveler skins as Steam Spring Sale starts March 20

Posted on March 17, 2026May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

A smart update lands just as the game gets a fresh discount window

Shape of Dreams has released Version 1.2, bringing Traveler skins, including some free skins, alongside a new event and more content. If you have been following the game on Fix Gaming Channel, we already covered the major v1.1 update, and this latest patch keeps that momentum going.

At the same time, NEOWIZ confirmed that Shape of Dreams will be 30% off during the Steam Spring Sale from March 20 to March 27, 2026. That gives new players another good entry point, while existing players get more reasons to return. We also featured the game as Game of the Week #20, so it is good to see it still receiving meaningful post-launch support.

The biggest addition in v1.2 is the new skin system for Travelers. Cosmetics alone do not carry an update, but in a co-op roguelite built around repeat runs and different playstyles, they still add another layer for returning players. The press release also notes that some free skins are available now, which makes the update feel more immediate rather than just being a teaser for later content.

The more gameplay-focused addition is the new in-game event, “Omen of Pain, Corrupted Chaos”. Players will face tougher battles inside a corrupted mist to earn new special stats and skills. Alongside that, Version 1.2 also adds new shrines, cosmetics, constellations, and more, so this is a proper content patch rather than a small balance update.

According to the announcement, Shape of Dreams sold more than 1 million units in its first three months. That gives this update a bit more weight, because it shows NEOWIZ and Lizard Smoothie are still building on a game that already found a strong audience after launch.

The Steam Spring Sale timing also helps. Shape of Dreams will be 30% off from March 20 to March 27, while other NEOWIZ titles in the same promotion include SANABI at 35% off, Skul: The Hero Slayer at 50% off, and DJMAX RESPECT V DLC song packs at discounts of up to 80% off. For anyone who has been waiting to jump in, this is a solid moment to do it.
