Space Marine 2 Open Beta Canceled Ahead of September Launch
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive canceled the planned open beta for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, saying the development team wanted to concentrate on final optimization and polish before the September 9, 2024 release.
We later returned to the game for the Space Marine 2 anniversary update.

Why the Open Beta Was Dropped
The teams said resources that would have gone into preparing and supporting the public beta were instead being redirected toward the launch build.

A Thank You for Beta Registrations
Players who registered for the beta by June 28, 2024 were promised an exclusive Bolt Pistol skin as a thank-you, with codes scheduled to be distributed after launch.

September 9 Release
At the time of this report, the September 9 release remained unchanged. Canceling the beta was presented as a way to protect the final development schedule rather than a delay to the game itself.
