What is Fading Skies?
Inspired by PS2-era classics, Fading Skies combines nostalgic 3D platforming with modern action-RPG gameplay. You’ll take control of Ryn and her mystical, cat-sized dragon companion, exploring a fractured yet beautiful world filled with ancient ruins, corrupted beasts, and powerful forgotten technology.
Demo Release Details
The demo launches June 10, 2024 as part of the Steam Next Fest. This early slice of the game delivers 2–3 hours of gameplay, letting you experience exploration, combat, and traversal mechanics ahead of the full release. A Kickstarter campaign will follow later this summer with exclusive rewards for backers.
The Story
Ryn’s journey is one of discovery, restoration, and survival. As the planet faces collapse, her quest will uncover the truth of her past, awaken ancient forces, and test the bond between her and her dragon ally. This connection unlocks unique traversal and combat abilities, allowing for creative exploration and strategic battles.
