Last Drop is unfinished, hilarious, and completely its own thing
Last Drop is Fix Gaming Channel‘s Game of the Week #66 after I returned to its 1994 Finland open world in a pre-release build.
Developed and published by Finnish indie studio Lohkare Games Oy, Last Drop is a single-player, story-driven open-world action-adventure. It follows Seppo “Zeze” Sahtivaara in the fictional Finnish town of Nykylä in 1994.
I played an early demo build some time ago and have now returned to the game. It is not finished, but it is hilarious fun. Seriously fun. Stupid fun – in the best possible way.

Why Last Drop is our Game of the Week #66
Last Drop is not trying to be Grand Theft Auto or Cyberpunk 2077. I would go so far as to say it feels like the opposite. It is smaller, stranger, more local, and built around 1994 Finland.
Everyday life becomes wonderfully strange in Last Drop‘s Finnish open world.
Maybe I am slightly biased because I am from Norway. Finland and Norway are different, but I recognise the dry, awkward Nordic humour immediately. I get the humour here.
Fists, VHS tapes, old cars, and Finnish towns
The Steam page says combat is based on close-range 1v1 fighting with no guns. Zeze learns new moves by watching VHS action films.
Last Drop replaces firearms with close-range 1v1 combat.
Players can drive retro cars, ride bikes, work for money, visit pubs, use a lakeside sauna, and manage Zeze’s stats, inventory, wallet, and drunkenness. The game also has a day-and-night cycle, changing weather, and shops with opening hours.
Funny even when it crashed
Even an ordinary bicycle ride can become a disaster in Last Drop.
I played until the pre-release build crashed in what seemed like a random place. Even that moment was funny. I stopped there, but I will be going back to this one.
Early Access begins August 18
Last Drop launches in Early Access on Steam on August 18, 2026. The launch version contains the first part of the story, with more planned during development.
A free Last Drop demo is available on Steam. The game is rough and unfinished, but it already made me laugh enough to choose it as Game of the Week #66.
