Boris the Wolf in Bendy: Lone Wolf survival horror roguelike – Game of the Week 17

Game of the Week 17: The Ink Demon Hunts Again in Bendy – Lone Wolf

Posted on August 20, 2025May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Game of the Week 17: Bendy – Lone Wolf

Bendy: Lone Wolf is more than just another entry in the franchise — it’s a full remaster and expansion of the 2020 indie spin-off Boris and the Dark Survival. Joey Drew Studios rebranded, rebuilt, and expanded the game, adding new mechanics, improved visuals, and — for the first time — an actual ending to Boris’s story. As a bonus, owners of the original received this as a free upgrade on Steam, while new players can now grab it across PC and consoles. This makes it our seventeenth Game of the Week — a spotlight on a beloved character finally stepping into the lead role.

Reception & Community

Early reception has been strong: the game sits at Very Positive on Steam, with 86% of reviews recommending it. Fans praise the upgraded visuals, tense atmosphere, and deeper lore connections. Criticism mostly centers on the repetitive fetch-loop gameplay and simple combat — but for Bendy fans, the suspense and secrets outweigh those issues. The community has already rallied around the game, with fan art showcased in the in-game Golden Gallery and discussion boards full of theory-crafting and speedrun challenges.

For fans who want to dive deeper into the voices that bring the Bendy universe to life, check out our
exclusive interview with Derek McEwan,
voice actor from Bendy and the Dark Revival.
