Who can enter
Every team member must have reached a peak rank of Ascendant or higher within the previous six months and comply with Vanguard checks. Accounts must be unbanned, without a Game Ban, Vanguard Intervention, Ranked Restriction or Comms Restriction in the previous 30 days, and without a ranked queue restriction during enrollment or competition.
More checks as teams advance
Open Qualifiers use Vanguard, post-match reporting and retroactive enforcement. Additional account-security requirements remain under consideration. Open Play-Ins allow regional authorities to add monitoring; Open Playoffs require the full framework, including voice monitoring, player-view recordings, match-area cameras and extra anti-cheat checks.
Cheat downloads also carry risks for players’ devices, as covered in our report on Brawlhalla’s warning about malware in cheat tools.

Streaming requires a delay
Player-view livestreams require at least a two-minute delay from Open Qualifiers onward. Third-party co-streamers need tournament-organizer approval. Teams should check regional rules for age, residency and roster requirements before registering.
