Drop Duchy

Fix Gaming Channel’s Game of the Week #3: Drop Duchy

Posted on May 12, 2025May 24, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl
Drop Duchy – Indie Puzzle Strategy Deckbuilder | Fix Gaming Channel Spotlight

Drop Duchy takes the familiar concept of block-dropping puzzle games and transforms it into a deeply strategic, roguelike deckbuilder. Instead of clearing lines, players place terrain and structure blocks to generate vital resources and build armies. Combat isn’t just tacked on — it’s the heart of the game’s challenge, demanding careful planning as enemy units descend on your board.

Each run introduces a procedurally generated map filled with forests, rivers, and glades that interact uniquely with your deck’s cards. Building next to the right terrain can make or break your run. Battles lead you through branching paths toward the enemy fortress, and if you fail, you jump right back in — smarter and better equipped.
